Human right extremist, Femi Falana has expressed that the deposing of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the Emir of Kano and ensuing expulsion is illicit.....
Talking on Channels TV's Politics Today on Tuesday March 10, the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) said the emir was deposed without being allowed any chance to guard himself.
Falana said;
"The deposing, the Banishment and limitation of development and detainment are generally plainly illicit.
"In any case, the senator held an Executive Council meeting directed by him and inside a space of five minutes, the emir had been blamed for executing irreverence to comprised authority, which means the representative and in the gathering managed by the senator where he was the informer, the examiner and the observer.
"As though such infringement of his opportunity and option to reasonable hearing was insufficient, the senator was asserted to have requested his capture and expulsion to his town in Nasarawa State.
"You don't denounce a representative and choose to keep him some place. He has the privilege to move uninhibitedly, he has the option to practice every one of his forces".
On if Sanusi has the lawful grounds to challenge the deposing, Falana answered by saying "without a doubt".
