Pastor of Labor and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige who unveiled this after the Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja on Wednesday March 11, blamed ASUU for not following set down methodology before setting out on the mechanical activity.
The Minister demanded "no work, no compensation" approach as he affirmed that the Integrated Personnel Payroll Information System (IPPIS) prompted the strike.
Ngige said;
"I am in stun. The strike is illicit in light of the fact that they didn't give us the required notification.
"In the event that you pull back administrations you despite everything need to be paid, it is debasement. Is that not defilement?"
