Courts Don't Concede Orders To Stop A Demonstration Which Has Just Been Done - INEC Responds To Controlling Request Against De-Enlisting Parties
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has ridiculed the court order which controlled it from de-enlisting 31 ideological groups.......
Review LIB revealed yesterday that Justice Anwuli Chikere who gave the injuction, decided that INEC neglected to contradict the application by the influenced ideological groups and their lawful must be secured.
Anyway INEC's Director Voter Education Publicity (VEP), Oluwole Osaze-Uzzi who remarked on the improvement said issuance of the injuction resembles restoring the dead as courts doesn't concede orders to stop a demonstration which has just been finished.
He added the commission is yet to be served the court injuction. Uzzi said;
"Courts don't give directives to stop a demonstration which has just been finished. Maybe, the reality of deregistration wasn't brought to the court's consideration.
"I am mindful this was referenced in court today (yesterday) by the offended parties' legal advisor however their application to reestablish the offended parties as enlisted ideological groups wasn't taken.
"This movement is as yet pending. The court has allowed quickened becoming aware of the case."
