Nigeria's Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has reported that consummation of the Lagos-Ibadan rail line by April 2020 is never again achievable....
The Minister who was went with on review of the progressing work by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, expressed that they will proceed to work and try harder to finish the venture and meet set targets.
His tweets read;
Today, Oyo State Governor,@seyimakinde is going with us on the month to month investigation of work on the Lagos-Ibadan rail line. We are going all the way. From the uber station in Ebute Metta to Apapa and right to Ibadan. A huge piece of this rail line is in Oyo State.
Taking a gander at the condition of work in Apapa, finishing the venture in April doesn't appear to be practical, particularly the augmentation of the rail line to the seaport. We'll notwithstanding, proceed to work and try harder to finish the task and meet set targets.
